Social Responsibility

As a socially responsible company, Fruitology actively takes steps that focus on the ethical extraction of fruits, re-forestation of harvest areas, and giving back to the local community through economic and social programs.

Fruitology supports giving back to local communities, where the açai fruit is harvested, by distributing açai trees to local needy families. This helps to provide a better quality of life for these communities while simultaneously contributes to the replanting of açai palms.

Fruitology realizes that the simple giving of resources will not lead to a better life for these needy farmers, for instance giving food only provides temporary relief. We rather support the teaching to people of how to cultivate and harvest their own fruit, which in turn gives them the opportunity of a more dignified life. Fruitology also supports the recycling of the açai seeds into organic compost which will later sprout new trees. This turns potential waste into a new hope for the future.

Other programs we support include the improvement in infra structure on school buildings and the distribution of school supplies and toys to children. Fruitology also supports the collaboration with the local communities to furnish trucks for garbage collection.
